ECumbess' paintings stem from a lifelong fascination with horses. This obsession, present as far back as she can remember, has greatly influenced her personal, academic, and professional pursuits, and most significantly, her art!

The power, mystery, and spirit of the horse intrigue her, ECumbess seeks to express these qualities in her paintings.

Moody romantic expressionism, her paintings are characterized by large images, a bold use of color and contrast, and vibrant brushwork to capture the essence and joyful passion of horses, just being horses!

The paintings are most often large gallery wrapped canvases, covered in different techniques, using acrylics and mediums. The finest materials are always used.
